Jeroen Klijnsma — Digital Dentistry Specialist, Trainer & Consultant

Jeroen Klijnsma is a Digital Dentistry Specialist, Trainer and Consultant with more than a decade of experience in digital dental workflows. A certified 3Shape and Scheu trainer and international lecturer, Jeroen has trained clinicians and dental technicians across Australia, Asia, Europe and the US. As a qualified dental technician and founder of Dentiq, he brings extensive practical experience in CAD/CAM, 3D printing and integrating digital technologies into modern dental laboratory workflows.

Akruti Tataria — Dental Prosthetist, Lab Solutions Specialist & Account Manager, 3Shape ANZ

Akruti Tataria is a Dental Prosthetist with over a decade of experience in New Zealand. Her clinical background includes extensive experience treating fully and partially edentulous patients, giving her a strong understanding of both patient-centred care and digital denture workflows. In her role with 3Shape, Akruti works closely with dental laboratories and professionals across Australia and New Zealand to support the adoption and application of digital solutions.

What you'll work through

Digital scanning: Correctly capturing edentulous arches using appropriate edentulous scan strategies.

Patient records: Recording and transferring jaw relations, occlusal plane and midline information for denture design.

Denture design: Tooth library selection, arch form, occlusal scheme and try-in design in 3Shape Dental System.

Clinical considerations: Understanding the considerations involved when treating an edentulous patient from a digital prosthetist's chairside perspective.

Try-in and adjustments: Evaluating try-ins and communicating clinical adjustments back into the digital design.

Bite adjustments: Understanding and applying digital bite adjustments.

Secondary impression scans: Exploring how secondary impression scans can be incorporated into the digital workflow.

Manufacturing pathways: Comparing milled and 3D-printed dentures, including materials and finishing considerations.

Common pitfalls: Identifying common digital denture errors and how to avoid costly remakes.
